Home

I am a grandma of 13, 1 more on the way in 3 weeks, so 14 grandchildren.  I took 7 of my grandchildren, that live close by, to the movie,  Home.  In our town we have a cinema complex that is really cool, you bring your own containers and you can get popcorn and drinks at refill prices. So we gathered our popcorn buckets and drink containers and headed out for an evening of fun. This tells you a little about the movie Home: After an alien race called the Boov conquer the Earth, they relocate the planet's human population -- all except for a little girl named Tip, who's managed to hide from the aliens. When Tip meets a fugitive Boov called Oh, there's distrust between both. However, Oh is not like his comrades; he craves friendship and fun. As their friendship develops, the pair set out together to find Tip's mother, but, unbeknown to them, the Gorg -- enemies of the Boov --  Are coming to get them. The  movie was very cute.   All my grandkids w...

another cute new hairstyle

Today's style is pretty easy.  This hair do  is a very cute style that doesn't take much time, but looks like it did.       First part the hair into three sections and place into three pony tails. Then separate each little ponytail in half  and join together with four new sections of hair creating four new ponytails. Then gather the four pony tails into two ponytails along with two sections of hair to create two ponytails.   curl the remaining hair that is left out of the pig tails  Look how cute!

Book review

I would like to say a word about a inspiring book that I read a while back.   The name of the book is Hitchhikers by Bernard Poduska The true story of one man's amazing journey from a homeless and hopeless childhood to a life of conversion and faith . The story starts in the spring of 1948 when Bernard Poduska and his family was evicted from their home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bernard was eight year old at the time, it tells of his family hitchhiking across the country trying to find a place to call home.  It tell of the hard times, and the suffering they went through.  It also tell of how Bernard, being an atheist, finds God.  This is a quote from the book.  " you will never know what's on down the road until you've made the journey; be grateful for any rides others may give you along the way, and whatever your destination, the journey is everything-- make the most of it." I enjoyed this book, it is very different than the run-of-the-mill books.  ...

Essential oils

One of the things I love the most is using Essential oils.  I have been using them for about twenty years.  I started out experimenting with oils in the 1990's  when oils were not very prevelent.  The oil I used first was Lavender,  I liked it so much I used it for everything.   I had the saying "If you don't know what to use, use Lavender". Then I got brave and bought a few more.  I have had an exciting adventure learning more about them and how to use them.    I'm not sponsoring any company,  I feel like there are several good brands.  Do your own research and find what you like the best.   I would like to share a recipe for a oil blend to relieve Stress. Stress Relief 4 drops Lavender 4 drops Clary Sage 4 drops Vetiver 4 drops Citrus 2 drops Geranium Put in roller bottle, fill with coconut oil, shake to mix well. Enjoy. I hope this works for you,  I will be adding new oil blends alone with ...
